Hi, I'm Jake, and I own ITC Quick Attach. This is the story of how my passion for tractors and problem-solving turned into a business that helps tractor owners across the country.
A Rural Beginning
I grew up in a small rural town on a horse farm, spending my days doing all the things a farm kid loves—moving manure piles, baling hay, and, of course, driving tractors. I fell in love with tractors and everything related to them.
But our farm was small, and after high school, there wasn’t enough work to justify staying on full-time. So, I went to college to become a diesel technician. Tinkering was in my blood. Whether it was four-wheelers, golf carts, or trucks, I loved figuring out how things worked and making them better.
Building a Career in Diesel Mechanics
After earning my degree, I dove into my career, gaining certifications and moving into a management role in fleet maintenance. Things were going well until 2020, when my employer announced they were closing the business. At just 25 years old, I found myself at a crossroads—with a newborn daughter at home and my future suddenly uncertain.
While helping the company wind down, I spent a lot of time thinking about what was next for me. I knew I wanted to start my own business, but the question was: What would it be?
Finding My Passion in Metal Fabrication
Metal fabrication caught my attention. It felt practical, useful, and relevant to the rural lifestyle I loved. I invested what little money I could into equipment and started learning everything I could about the craft. I didn’t know what I was going to make or who would buy it—I just knew it was what I wanted to do.
Like many others starting out with a CNC plasma table, I began making metal art. But it didn’t take long for me to realize my true passion: tractor accessories.
My First Tractor Part
My first product was a grill guard for a New Holland tractor. I added a brush screen to the design, making it stronger and more practical than the OEM version—and far more affordable. Looking at that finished, powder-coated part, I knew: I wanted to build something meaningful for tractor owners.
But ITC Quick Attach wasn’t born just yet.
Partnering with Gary Wellington
The real beginning of ITC Quick Attach came when I met Gary Wellington. Gary had started the Interchangeable Tool Carrier system with a toolbox holder, but he was struggling to handle fabrication and shipping on his own while working full-time at a GM dealership.
I saw an opportunity. I offered to take over fabrication, powder coating, inventory, and shipping, allowing Gary to focus on growing the business. After some discussions and sample parts, we struck a deal.
Innovating with the ITC Sawboss
One of my first projects under ITC Quick Attach was the ITC Sawboss. After prototyping and refining the design, we launched it to rave reviews. Customers loved its detachable design, rugged build, and sleek look.
I was so confident in its quality that I offered a lifetime warranty right from the start—a promise we’ve upheld with only three warranty claims in four years.
Growing ITC Quick Attach
With the success of the Sawboss, we continued to innovate and expand our product line. I developed nearly every product you see on our website today, constantly improving designs based on customer feedback.
The positive response from the tractor community fueled our growth. I eventually hired a talented team to help with production and operations. And in October 2023, I had the opportunity to purchase ITC Quick Attach from Gary. It was a full-circle moment, and I was proud to continue building on the foundation we had created together.
My Commitment to Customers
At ITC Quick Attach, we craft innovative, dependable accessories that help tractor owners get more done while protecting their investment. Our mission is simple: to make life easier for the tractor community by delivering practical solutions, exceptional quality, and unmatched customer care.
We value every customer and the trust they place in us. Your feedback—both positive and constructive—helps us grow and serve you better.

ITC Quick Attach wouldn’t be where it is today without the support of our customers and community. I’m proud to bring you high-quality products that make a difference, and I look forward to growing alongside you.
